This design features a skeletal form that allows all of the workings parts of the clock to be seen from any direction.
The clock is of conventional construction, having both a weight to provide the driving means and a pendulum to provide the timing.
The clock should be constructed entirely from hardwoods with the possible use of steel and plastics for the main shafts and bearings.
This is not a project for the beginner, as great accuracy is necessary in the construction of the gears and mounting plates.
The plans for the construction of the clock are comprehensive in their detailing of the major components so as to ensure that the functional geometry is correct. However there is plenty of scope for you the maker to express your individual ideas into the construction.
